VIDEO: THIS IS WHAT THE CARIBBEAN SEA LOOKS LIKE IN THE NATIONAL DISTRICT DUE TO HURRICANE BERYL

SANTO DOMINGO. Do not go near the Malecón de Santo Domingo if it is not necessary. Waves more than 10 feet high are seen crashing against the shores of George Washington Avenue in the National District.

The Emergency Operations Center (COE) prohibited the movement of people and has asked the population to refrain from going to the place due to the danger posed by traveling through the area.

Police and military authorities have made an effort to discourage people from approaching the Malecón, but on different occasions people have been seen parking near the coast.
